Adam Momaya: You don't have to put your GPA on your resume. As it is considered private information, a prospective employer can check to see if you really graduated from the school with the major you claim, but can't actually get your GPA unless you give permission. Now, if the interviewer asks about your GPA you're in trouble, but I've never been asked that in an interview. If you're really worried that you just haven't gained enough from your education to be in a heavy finance job, consider starting in a relatively low-level entry position like a loan officer for a small credit union. Then you're essentially making decisions based on a given formula and performing other very routine duties. That would give you an opportunity to learn the ropes of the industry without putting your career or reputation at risk.In short, yes you should stick with finance because that's your major. Unless you want to be the assistant manager of Home Depot or something, you'll do better ! going for jobs related to your studies....Show more
