That said, while voting is important, as it has been noted over the years all politics are local. Local races for congress and senate are dictated more by local politics than anything else. And now allowing their own automatic pay raises to kick in adds insult to injury to us dummy's who point fingers at each other. And yes, change the system is what is hoped for by voting for Obama. Two of my three representatives voted yes for the bail out which has not helped the economy in any way. They will not get my vote in the furture.
