Why are world markets crashing?

Carmelina Enoch: Stocks price to future expectations. The markets are "saying" that they believe corporate earnings will be significantly lower than previously thought. Whether they are right or not, we won;t knwo for awhile.

Donnell Mollo: The outside force is the lack of confidence. THe markets rely on confidence to operate. Every day 1 person sells Ford stock because they think it will go down. And 1 person buys that share because they think it will go up.Now everyone thinks it will go down. So they don't buy. And the price goes down. It is a spiral. We will muddle through. We always do..

Toya Braskett: I am not sure, just as confused as you are (I am like you, an object in motion stays in motion unless acted upon by an outside force- that's physics, man :o) That I understand) I don't understand why if a lot of people aren't making changes in their lives as far as staying at home versus traveling and eating at home versus restaurants, how are these market! s becoming so bad???? They do several polls and people say that they have changed very little and also, economists say spend it helps the economy and people have done that idea and still the market plummets :o/ I don't know...Show more

Elmo Tervo: If there is one critical market in all of the markets, it is the credit market because along with the housing market, it is the backbone or grease of the America economy. Every other market is spreads out of those two market. Unfortunately, the credit market is currently in chaos and shambles.
