Are extravagant weddings more for the wife?

Rosalia Hibler: Big weddings aren't for either person... they are for all the guests - how much you can impress them - why else would people spend more than $25,000 on a wedding that lasts ONE day and then puts them into a big financial hole??? Keep it simple, classy, and elegant - people will remember that more than how much was spent.

Frank Gazaway: I don't know.... My husband HATES when then attention is on him...hates it! So when we got engaged, I knew he wouldn't want that big wedding. I looked up some places online and pitched the "destination wedding" idea. And he didn't want to go away and get married. He thought that if we didn't have the big wedding that we would regret it later in life and I would miss out on a dream. So we had the big wedding... Well, moderate wedding...
