How to teach history at a university?
Carmelina Enoch: No you do not need a teaching degree. You would need a Phd. in the field that you wish to teach and ideally have published in the area of your expertise.

My first teaching lesson of French?
Codi Manchel: teach him greetings, like hello, how are you? and some replies to that (like good, bad, thanks and you?). teach him the alphabet and how to count. and pronouns, like je, tu, il, elle, etc. then some easy verbs, like aime and avoir. if he already knows those things, then maybe teach him how to express the time or the weather.

What Are Some Study Abroad Programs?
Emery Blando: 1
Nestor Klan: Hi, I am russian, born there, and feature lived in Denmark virtually my entire existence, thirteen years now. There is a few racism in Denmark, however now not a lot, and now not as different locations. I for my part do not suppose you could have some thing to fear approximately, you're dependable, this is a very dependable nation. Also, you're american however black, so you're now not from a muslim or such nation, and danish folks talk well english, so you should not have any issues....Show more
Cody Petrulis: You can apply to just about any study abroad program you want--you don't have to restrict yourself to certain ones. The only reason schools have partnerships between them are because it helps to bring attention to their school over others while also offering some "deals" to their students (like reduced costs, requiring less paperwork when deciding admissions, or a higher likelihood of being accepted compared to those who are! applying independently). The more prestigious schools sometimes limit their selections only to students from partner universities, but you don't need that sort of snobbery anyway. So really when asking for programs you should be talking about what exactly you're looking for in a school in Japan. I think finding a school that offers a lot of graphic design or photography classes that also have classes for study abroad and also have classes targeted at English speakers (because your Japanese will not be competent enough to attend classes held only in Japanese) will be hard to do, but your university is also probably going to require you take certain classes as well as a number of electives as overall graduation requirements, so a school with a broad range of courses might be good for you. I know you said you don't care if your credits transfer or not, but you don't really want to waste thousands and thousands of dollars and a large period of your time to come back with nothin! g to show for it outside of photos and souvenirs. I think one ! of the most popular choices is Kansai Gaidai in Osaka http://www.kansaigaidai.ac.jp/asp/ (warning: the website is really beepy). I have a friend there currently and I could link you to a blog she keeps if you're interested in reading about her experience (it's mostly just daily life stuff, nothing too deep). The one thing I know a lot of people complain about at Kansai is that most of the time foreign students and Japanese students are segregated so that it can be hard to meet actual Japanese if you don't go out with the specific intention of doing so. But they do have a homestay program. There is also Sophia University through CIEE http://www.ciee.org/study/programOverview.aspx?pID... which is right in Tokyo.Even though it's in the middle of no where, I try to promote my university AIU (Akita International University) http://www.aiu.ac.jp/en/ . It's pretty up north though so you really have to like snow! But if you're considering photography as well it's a very picturesque ! place and it's also really cheap. There aren't any art-related classes there except for calligraphy and flower arranging, but there is a photography club and if you know anything about Japanese culture you know the clubs are really big things to do and generally quite active. ANYWAY, there's Ritsumeikan in Kyoto but for this you'll need to have at least 200 hours of real Japanese class. http://www.ritsumei.ac.jp/eng/international_progra...Naturally there are lots more, but I think choosing a university should be based on your own research. You can do a lot more thorough searching since you know what you're ideally wanting and you'll feel better about your choice when it's been you who decided it and not you who decided it because Belie at Y!A gave you only a few options and only talked about one university at any real length....Show more

Would a child who is physically disabled need to be in special education?
Ayesha Genova: yes, any person can attend normal classes, but the chiled able differently is admitted to special classes, for giving them equal plateform for competion and teacher can give special attention to child.
Damion Oleksa: Your child may not need to be in a special day class but most likely would qualify for special education services such as Occupational Therapy (OT), Physical Therapy, assistive technology, etc. Full Integration is the goal in many school districts and your child is entitled to be placed in the Least Restrictive Environment per federal law. That means she will need to be placed with her peers to the maximum extent possible (which could include an aide or outside resources to help maintain that placement.) She may also qualify under the Americans with Disabilities Act under a Section 504 Plan which will require the school to maintain services and equipment to accommodate her physical needs. Either way, your child will receive services! that she needs in order to be successful in school. I suggest you contact your 0-3 intervention program in your state. They work with children and families from ages birth to 3 years old, at age three they help transition you and your child to the school district's program. They are wonderful for support and the earlier your child receives intervention services such as OT and PT the better her chances are of not needing special education services as she grows older. These are free services mandated by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. Ask your doctor or local school district for the Zero to Three intervention program point of contact. Each state handles the program differently, for instance in Michigan the local school districts provide the 0-3 services, whereas California early intervention programs are provided by an organization called Regional Centers. Federal law mandates that all states provide these services. Good Luck!...Show more
Soray! a Coodey: Wait to the babies are born and see what is what. It! may be better than it seems. Whether a child can go main stream with a physical disability depends on how severe, whether intelligence is normal and also how much early intervention takes place. The more early intervention, the better. There are all sorts of electronic learning assistance technologies available these days. Spina bifida does vary in severity. There is no way of telling the severity yet- not for sure.Your child will be your child regardless. I have taught special classes for 20 years and these classes can offer a caring, productive place to learn if necessary. Iy your little one needs a special placement eventually, then work with the departments involved to find a good place in the same school as the twin. All this needs to wait to later though. the most important gift you can give your twins right now is love....Show more
Fannie Collingwood: well yes because if he is in normal classes people might want to make fun of him or something but unlike in sp! ecial ed he could get the tools to do amazing things and you can get your kids to except him as a part of the family.
Connie Dickirson: Special Education includes physical/occupational therapy in additional to other therapy services. Were your child not classified as special ed, they would not be able to obtain these services during the school day. The school would not otherwise legally be able to provide services to physically help your child obtain an appropriate education. Therapy builds/stregthens muscle coordination, an activitiy which other teachers (including PE) cannot do even if somebody is struggling behind their peers in a class. At the very least, they would lack the training, and then there would be legal issues. The teacher would not be able to draw up an IEP to build your child's muscle coordination. The special education department are the people able to provide these services to eligible students on the school grounds itself. The child would only ! go to the department for the therapy services. They would go to the dep! artment because there could be special equipment used to deliver the PT/OT services which would otherwise not be available. Placement in special ed is never a question of whether you did 'anything wrong'.Always and only think of it as you're wanting your child to obtain appropriate educational services which helps them succeed in school---and life....Show more
Hyman Coren: The child will probably be considered special ed because, if the school does what it should, they will provide therapy for her. She may be taken out of the room for physical or occupational therapy just as a child might be for speech therapy, which by the way is also considered special education. As long as there is no cognitive delay, your child will be in the regular education classroom for all of her academics. Good Luck and remember that sometimes the doctors are wrong!...Show more
Gertrude Darke: I think that if the child has only lost the ability to walk it is no real problem to his o! r her education and the heart defect would probably require medication so their is probably nothing to worry about.

When ending a sentence with a word that makes use of quotations, where do you place the period?
Madie Strople: They always go inside. He liked the movie so much that as we were leaving the theater he said, "I can't wait to see that again."
Cierra Gadbaw: "I believe it's before the quotations."
Coralie Goldsberry: i usually put it outside the quotation marks. supposing it's for a paper and that you have to cite a line or page number after the quote, then it's appropriate for the period to go outside of the quotation marks because you do your citation before the period.i.e. Outside, âshe could see in the open square before her house the tops of trees that were all aquiver with the new spring lifeâ (Chopin 659).but if you're not doing a paper, i don't really know (or at least i can't logically explain it). i've noticed that most of my teachers put their punctuations inside of quotes when they're writing notes on the boardedit: wow, what a nice flock of answers lmfao. i would deduce that as a general rule to punctuate inside quotation marks, but when ! you need to cite something like i did, you put it outside the quotation (and i say that because i've been doing that for the past 3 years and my teachers haven't nagged at me about it once haha). well anyways, good luck...Show more
Clare Hoard: That is a matter of style, and possibly of national taste; Americans often differ from Britons. See Lynne Truss' book "Eats, Shoots, and Leaves".
Bernie Cerra: Outside the quotations; unless it's a question.

Americans: can someone explain your education system?
Emeline Albracht: It's usually optional to start pre-school (depending on the state you live in) and then kindergarten is roughly age 5.Then elementary school is usually grades 1 thru 5 or 1 thru 6. Then middle school (sometimes called junior high) is 6 thru 8 or 7 thru 9. Grade 9 is considered a High School freshman. Then high school is 9 thru 12. People can quit school at 16 years old I think. Most go thru 12th grade and graduate with a high school diploma. Then on to college for a bachelors degree which is usually 4 years. Then 1 extra year for a Masters, and 2 yrs beyond that for PhD....Show more
Timmy Bustard: Age 4 or so kids go to pre-school to prepare them for school. Age 5 they go to Kindergarten. Then at age six they go to Elementary school. They stay there for about 5 years. At 11 they enter Junior High. They stay there for 3 years and then go on to High School, where they stay for 4 years. All the stuff above differs with each school, but it i! s basically the same. Then a person can go get a job, or continue on to a university or tech-school (in tech-school you learn the specifics for just your future career). Those who go to universities can choose their degrees (to an extent) and then get a job. Many jobs require the worker to go back to college for certain classes, just to keep the worker on top of new methods and etc....Show more
Francisco Schonhardt: One word, ****
Lavelle Viveiros: Kindergarden-5th grade is Elementary school. (ages 5-11)Middle School (6th-8th grade) or Junior High School (7th-8th)High School-9th-12th.Then off to collage.
Davina David: Most children are required to start school around 5 or 6 years old. They start with either an optional "Kindergarten" which is designed to familiarize them with school and socializing, or they start with 1st Grade. In most school systems 1st - 5th Grade is "Elementary School" or "Primary School" or "Grammar School". After 5th Grade (usual! ly age 11 or 12 for most) children matriculate into "Middle Sc! hool" or "Junior High School". Middle Schools usually run 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. After completing Middle School, students matriculate into "High School".The High School grades are 9th (Freshmen), 10th (Sophomores), 11th (Juniors), and 12th (Seniors). Here in the states, one must remain in school until one has either graduated 12th Grade OR turned 18. During High School, most kids take a College Preparatory Exam, such as the SAT or ACT. These tests give students a numeric score based on a variety of academic and cognitive skills. Combined with the GPA from high school, the SAT/ACT scores help determine which colleges students will get into. There are three basic levels of "undergraduate colleges" in America. First, "Junior Colleges" these schools grant "Associates Degrees" They are two year degrees, often good for getting entry level occupational jobs. Second are Trade Schools, these schools teach one particular craft (computer repair, etc.). Last are the Unive! rsities. Most Universities in America are modeled on the Cambridge/Oxford system. They grant four-year Bachelor Degrees. After graduating with a Bachelor's Degree, students may pursue a "graduate" degree either a Master's (1-2 more years of study), a Ph.D. (2-3 more years), a Law Degree (3 years) etc. etc.So to sum up, compulsory education from Grades 1 - 12. A fair amount of students go on to college and get Bachelor's degrees. Hope that helps!...Show more
Tyrone Disanti: age 3-4 is pre-k, age 5 is kindergarden, ages 6-11 is elementary(primary) school, ages 12-14 is middle(secondary) school, 15-18 is high school. Then 4yrs. of college if you want to go beyond. and maybe even more if you want to go to like medical school or something

If I Major in Secondary Education and Minor in Journalism can I switch between both fields?
Hilma Pestano: Yeah you can it all depends on where you go to college and if they allow you to have both a major and a minor. most universities do, but im not sure how many junior colleges do
Frank Gazaway: It would be hard to, unless you were only a part-time writer or did it during the summer. One thing to do is to go into journalism and then become a high school journalism/newspaper teacher, like the one at my school. You could double major or you could get a BA of Secondary Education in Journalism, some schools offer this, like Kansas State U.

Preschool Teaching Question about what is taught each month/themes?
Brock Anwar: There are many different themes that you can use on children who are of that age. The important thing however, is to make things that are like fun, but also educational. At this age, they like games, they like coloring, and they like using their bodies to act out different concepts.Below are some of the following themes that I would suggest for people of the age that you're looking at:Spring -- The birth of new animals, along with their months (identification of each of the animals) Also if you're able to do something interactive like creating their sounds, where they live etc., this would be a good activity. For instance, a beaver has a dam. Get some branches, and stuff that they would make it out of and have them feel what it feels like. Also concentrate with holidays of significance during the spring including Easter for example.Summer -- Show them examples of how to protect themselves from the sun. Like for instance have a dress up and sun lotion wh! ere they can practice putting it on their arms. Also the major holiday during the summer include summer vacation.Fall -- Fire Safety week. Show them how it is not a good idea to play with matches, and to tell a reliable person if they see people burning things. Also make a fun and interactive activity of telling them how to get out alive. Also show them how to dial 911, but tell them it is only if someone that they see gets hurt, or mommy is not feeling well, or they see smoke, or flames. Halloween is the major holiday this season.Winter -- hibernation of animals (sleeping), ice safety. Show them with putting in a container, what is the safe amount of ice, and too thin. Also play dress up with them to show them what to wear during winter time. Christmas is the major holiday during this season. If you need some more thorough answers, email me at matwaites@shaw.ca and I will be happy to go over more with you....Show more

Malcom Bourek: Themes are the easy part...what ages will you be covering? how many children are going to be enrolled? will you have assistants? the logistics of owning your own facility can be very overwhelming. Depending on the licensing requirements for your state, your lesson planning may change. Every year i poll my parents to see what they want covered. Also try to keep it simple and with things the kids know and have some experience with.

Should I go to school or be home schooled?
Samara Siewers: You could try it and if it does not work for you, change to the once a week program. The benefit of the once a week program is that you will have already learned how to manage your time once you go to college. If you have other social outlets, then this should be no problem in the social area. BTW, many home-schooled kids adjust just fine to college.
Antonette Shappy: Homeschooling is a great experience during primary school.High school on the other had is much different. Being home schooled in high school is not a smart choice. When you go to college, you will not know how to act in many situations and with most people your age. It will be scary, because this is such a big change, but I know a lot of people who were homeschooled before, and switched during high school, and completely agree with me that it is the right thing to do....Show more
Barton Slisz: I think it might be a good idea to try it out. I know a lot of people who were home sc! hooled for elementary and then went to traditional school for HS. I know other people who are sticking with home school for their whole educational career, and their social development is perfectly fine, not even a concern.I think trying it out with an open mind is a good idea though. There's obviously a reason you're considering it, so it may be the right place for you to be....Show more
James Langmyer: i think that you should try going to school..it will help you with social skills and learn what its like to be with other kids your age..you might just like it..
Jerrod Guilfoil: everybody needs the social interaction of school. try real school and finish with that unless there is a major problem. bad teachers, bullys, less than adequate material taught.
Rodrigo Pezley: I suggest trying to go to high school. if you don't like it, then go back to homeschooling. I heard High school is supposed to be the best years of school, so why no try to enjoy them. Plus! , you will not do well in college, like interacting with teach! ers and other students. Just try it out.
No recurra a insultos.
Elige tus batallas sabiamente.

home school?
Jonathan Schlussel: i don't know, i'm i your same position! my mom says i'll get better grades in home school. my cousin went from f's to a's when he did home school. i don't want to cause i'm taking the BEST classes next year (photo 1, theatre 2, ect.) but my mom is making me....

Bell Pasco: Give it a try :) It is certainly not too late. I'd recommend the Teenage Liberation Handbook http://www.amazon.com/Teenage-Liberation-Handbook-...My oldest son, who is 15, left public school during the second grade. He loves it. He currently uses Keystone National high School, although he has also used Clonara. (the former being more traditional, the latter more of an unschooling/eclectic approach). He also makes sure to get out of the house ev! ery day and hang out with friends. Socialization is not a problem with a bit of effort....Show more
Stan Conley: After nine or ten years of government school you use phrases such as "gonna do". Apparently your mom is interested in your education. If she is willing and able you might do well to accept her offer. She will be the one sacraficing her time and patience. Government schools are out of control. They are dangerous and they can no longer effectively dicipline the students. It is damn near impossible to fire incompetent union teachers. Job security is more important than teaching to the NEA. I urge you to read. Reading will improve your knowledge, vocabulary, spelling, and sentence structure. If you want to know just how poor your government education is, try googleing the writings of Thomas Jefferson , John Adams or James Madison. You will probably have difficulty grasping their line of thought. That does not mean that you are stupid. It means you a! re uneducated. Take the opportunity offered but do not neglect your so! cial life. Social skills are very important. God bless you....Show more
Patricia Bolduc: homeschooling takes a lot of dedication on your parents, and your part. Homeschooling only works if you stick to your studies. I have seen kids who were homeschooled come out of it at the top of their class in college, and I have also seen those come out with very little education. What kind of dedication are you and your mom willing to put into it. Yes, attending school does give you the social aspect, but if you get involved with a good homeschool organization, many have sports, music, and other electives that they join together to provide their kids. This does fill in the social aspect. I would give it some deep hard thought and discussion with your mom, tell her your concerns but don't go "crazy" if you feel she is not seeing your side....Show more
Blair Abdi: Personally, I think homeschooling is a terrible idea. You need to learn to be social...waking up in the mornin! g, being on your own without mommy and daddy. Don't most people want their children to grow up better and smarter and more successful than themselves? If that's the case how can you homeschool your children...teaching only what you know? I think it's a bad idea. Don't do it. I'd be kicking and screaming if I were you.
Patrica Loertscher: I home schooled my kids for nine years. In that time I did learn a lot about it. I met a lot of different people and saw many different ways that people home school their children. Through it all I saw one continuous factor that 'good' homeschooling parents had in common. A dedication to their child's education. If we are willing to put ourselves aside and focus on the education of our children, homeschooling can be a wonderful thing. Obviously it isn't for everyone since some parent's are not able to or not willing to put forth great efforts to give their child a range of experiences. If parents can and do expose their children ! to many different experiences and ideas homeschooling can be a wonderfu! l thing. Resources are everywhere. I personally found mine through a trusted school in my area that also published home school material. Many other people I knew used material they found on the internet without having ever spent a dime. Many people make the silly assumption that if a child is home schooled they get no socialization. This implies that the ONLY experiences in life that can give a child socialization is school. How absurd is that? If a child is in clubs (boy/girl scouts, for example) or team sports, or if the children belong to a church or a home school group, or if the family itself has many friends that they get together with often, the children WILL, by default, be socialized. When my children wanted to go to school last year after nine years of being at home, they had no problem at all fitting in and getting along with other kids. They are not socially challenged or inhibited. They are very normal, active, going out on Friday nights kids. Homeschooling doe! s not equal no-social life. Living in a cave does....Show more
Cyndy Grimes: yes, you should try homeschooling even if its just one year. i am going into 7th grade and i homeschooled for my first time for 6th grade. it was one of the best expirienses of my life and now i have the option to styay homeschooling or go back, and i am goin back part time. homeschooling doesnt have to be forever, it can be just a year if you'd like. and if you homeschool for one year and decide you want to stay like that you only have to study what is important to you, like if you want to be a mathamatician than what are you doing focusising half your time studying literature? in a homeschool the lessons are costomised not "one-size-fits-all"! and just because your not at school doesn't mean you can be a part of the comunity! (asuming you live in the U.S.) all you have to do to go to school sporting event, dances, science fairs, feail trips or even play sports is to sign a few papers. if yo! u ned help you casn e-mail me at luv_2_homeschool@yahoo.com...Show more!
Adan Alipio: You haven't shared why your mom is considering homeschooling in the first place. This would be helpful in knowing if it's a good option for you or not. It can be a good idea, especially if you are open to it being good. You can potentially get a better education and have more free time. If you do homeschool, make sure you get enough social time outside your home. The biggest complaint from homeschooled teens who were previously in school is that their social life got cut off--whether this was their fault or their parents' is unknown, but it's not necessary....Show more
Jess Grizzel: You just tell her what you feel!Do wat YOU want to DO!!!
Shena Etulain: Your mother is concerned about your future and your education. Whether you like the school you are attending now or not is not highly significant; what is significant is whether or not you are learning and preparing for a future--doing okay is not thriving.Give homeschooling a try and put for! th your best effort. Doing okay and not being motivated is not enough to assure a good future, college, etc. It's time to start thinking about and taking responsibility for your own education. Minh Lefrancois: I know a ton of home schoolers, and they typically are awesome folks. Hope that helps.
Troy Staton: Give few details please. Your mother was considering home school for a reason, right? What is the reason.Home school works for us and our reason was that our son was not learning in school. We can create his curriculum, let him go at his pace, teach him with his learning style in! mind, and give him freedom to study electives not offered at public sc! hool. You say your grades were 'OK'. Were you learning or were you doing well at passing tests?Give these details and we can give our opinions for your situation....Show more
Ewa Homrich: Well, if your parents want to do it you really can't do much about it.Just so you know, homeschoolers get into college at a higher percentage than public school kids. YOu can study things you are interested in, and you can get your studies done in less time than it will take in Public School. YOu will still be able to see your Public School or Magnet school friends after school hours and on weekends. You will have a lot of freedom to choose courses. If you take part in homeschool group activities you will make new friends in addition to those you know from school. So while I understand your apprehension, I thought I should let you know that being homeschooled is not that bad, and can be great! :-)...Show more
Rebeca Mckin: I was home schooled prior to first grade, attended ! public school through fourth grade, then returned to public school for grades 10-12. I have so many mixed feelings about home school.Parents choose home school for so many different reasons and of all of them I think that your mom's reasoning is among the best. It's a nice change to what I saw most often - the typical radical Christian who feels that kids should be sheltered from such a big bad world.Overall, I am very resentful that I was home schooled but I do see some positives. Home school was great for me because first, my mother is very well educated which came in handy during algebra and while reading Shakespeare. She was the head of our local guild and took the time to put together a solid curriculum that revolved around my interests, was more tailored to my learning needs, and much more hands on than the generic approach of schools in our area. I feel that home school can give you a little bit of an edge if parents are as dedicated as my mom.Now that I've told! you what I found to be the positives, I'll tell you why I hated being ! taught at home. We lived in a very rural area and my social life dwindled down to nothing. I can't tell you how many times I cried because I was so lonely, had no friends, or anybody at all to relate to. As I entered my teenage years, my mother and I got along less and less. It was a suffocating experience to not be able to get a break from my mother, if we were in an argument I couldn't get away from it and once school started it was like my teacher was taking it out on me. It was the same in reverse with my schooldays frustrations carrying on into the afternoon and evening. In order for home schooling to be effective, you have to have a top notch relationship with your parents. In the beginning I loved it, but as time passed I wanted more and more to go back into public school but was not allowed to. That was the main reason for the downfall of my home schooling. You have to want it just as much as your mother. And you need a back-up plan.Come 10th grade I returne! d to high school very prepared, although not socially. All of my classes were honors and I made honor roll first semester. Aside from that, the adjustment was really tough. It would be an understatement to say that socially it was overwhelming. I was so consumed with trying to catch up with everyone that my grades plummeted. Even though you only have a couple of years left, don't underestimate how the transition will affect you if you choose to leave and then end up returning....Show more
August Hubbard: uh, mom should have introduced homeschooling a LONNNNNNNNNNNNNNG time ago. It's too late NOW for that. Unless the school you'd be attending has serious problems (bad teachers, violence, etc.), you would be MUCH better off sticking with a regular school environment.I homeschooled my son for several years, but he was a lot YOUNGER than you are... and it's definitely NOT for everyone.Talk to mom and find out what she's thinking... and see if you can put your head! s TOGETHER to come up with a solution....Show more

Is higher education at this age and recession a good decision?
Leontine Kreitz: 1. Don't worry about age, NOW is better than never. 2. Recession is the best time to get an education (may not be the cheapest), but it'll be a couple years before you get out of school and the markets will have settled and corrected themselves in some way before then.3. You should try your best to take night classes, or distance learning. I would not leave a good completely to go to college in times like these, but I would still want to further my education....Show more

financial aid question?
Palmira Lochridge: The finanical aid you accept will be put in your college account on the disbursement date your college has. My daugther at her univ gets half her aid per semester. For fall this year she starts beginning sept and the fall disbursement date is 8/28 when al the students will get their financial aid for that semester. It goes into your account. The college will take out their charges for tuition, fees, and meal pland and housing if that pertains to you and any left over is refunded to you for books, etc....Show more
Jill Thomer: usually, the federal aid is first used to pay for tuition and housing and fees that goes directly to the school, afterwards if there is any extra money left, then they usually send it to you in form of a cheque or direct deposit as a "refund" for the extra.however, the school has the right to choose how much of the extra they want to give you. The checks are usually given after the payments are done, which is usually with! in the first quarter of the semester. That's why if you need money for books, it's important to take their cost into consideration as you borrow money from financial aid.You might want to call your school's financial aid office directly about it to see if you will most likely have extras for books, and to also see the exact time you will get the extra money....Show more

Blythe Noreiga: You can submit the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) any time until June 30, 2009.Some types of federal aid are available all year long, and your eligibility and the amount of any potential award are not affected by when you apply. The best known of these are the Pell! Grant and the Stafford Loan.Other forms of aid are distributed by the financial aid office from a limited pool of funds. These forms of aid go to the students who apply before the school and/or the state's "priority aid deadline". The aid deadlines differ from state to state, but they're generally all in March, April, May and sometimes June. The best known forms of aid that are not available throughout the year are institutional grants, Federal Work-Study, state grants and FSEOG grants. So, yes - you can still apply - even after October - for spring semester aid, but you will have missed out on forms of aid that could have increased the amount of available assistance.I hope that helps - good luck!...Show more
No, gra! cias a ti.
Si no te miran a l! os ojos, sigue adelante.

What's the difference between TiVo and Bell (For Canadian viewers)?
Donald Caravalho: I live in Canada, but I find that it's far cheaper to just download them off bittorrent and have your computer hooked up to your TV. Absolutely free and you're in total control.
Marhta Teahan: Tivo is a Digital Video Recorder (DVR) and not a service provider. You would use Tivo with a Satellite or cable provider(or over the air too I guess) Bell seems to be a Satellite provider, and I assume they have their own DVR. Your choice would then be to use Bell's DVR or to use Tivo with the Bell service.

Dale a tu hurón melatonina.
