Do you vacuum your stairs with an upright vacuum, or handheld?

Claudio Drullard: What would be considered "or something else"?I use an upright vacuum; I use the unit from side to side on each stair.

Weldon Totaro: Built-in central vacuum.

Lou Rought: All I have is an upright vacuum and a shop vac, so I use the attachment with the upright one. A handheld one seems like it would be so much more convenient, though. I'd probably vacuum them more frequently.

Joie Libutti: Ive used them all including a canister vacuum.

Tillie Wynott: I only have stairs on the outside of the house lol, I just hose them down :)

Dorethea Beaston: canister with a wand

Luana Carothers: DirtDevil handheld. Love it!!

Daria Verfaillie: Summer,my friend,i use an extension for the stairs,as my wife can not do it any more, due to bad health,so take care my friend.

Matt Tiry: A builtin, because that's what we have. The powerhead on the carpet, and the naked nozzle on the corners. It's not ideal - it would be better to ! have a powerhead with the brush bar at 90 degrees so one could sweep it side-to-side - but it does the job.

Phillip Modafferi: Handheld. Not much stuff is on the stairs usually other than dust. Also I've had numerous accidents using an upright and quite frankly they are too expensive to damage
